The 20,000 sf state-of-the-art aquatic recreation facility occupies a 10.6-acre site and is a one-story structure featuring a south-facing lobby, a natatorium with a six-lane, 25-yard lap pool featuring zero depth entry level and a two-story interior/exterior slide, office space and centrally located front desk for aquatic center staff, community room for activities with adjacent conference room, locker room with showers, first aid room, plus pool equipment, pump room and maintenance support spaces.
My involvement in this project included programming, site and building analysis, schematic design, code research, design development through sketches and multiple iterations in SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop, construction documents development in Autodesk Revit, material selection and specification writing, construction administration, and construction observation.
